Hello! I’m Susanne Bacon

Independent Author & Journalist

I was born in Stuttgart, Germany, where I also lived for almost all of the first 42 years of my life. Telling stories and writing have been second nature to me from the very beginning. Maybe that was also the reason I studied General and Comparative Science of Literature and Linguistics at Stuttgart University (double Master’s degree), and ended up working first as a freelance journalist for a daily paper, later as an editor, then as the editor-in-chief of a trade magazine.

In 2010, I immigrated to the US, and I have been living with my husband in the South Puget Sound region in Washington State ever since. In 2017, I became a US citizen. Apart from writing on a daily basis, I have a passion for food, reading, music, the fine arts (including photography), and for exploring places.
